These designs were originally created in the form of drawing journals that Kyla explored over a number of years. She always starts with the imagery and then adds the words.

The entire process is an intuitive flow. Kyla often turns the page around and around as she works, adding line and colour until she senses an invitation and the message begins to emerge.
